For Young Kids:
Act out the story of Jesus' birth
Make a birthday cake
Teach about the meaning and purpose of gifts (Acts 20:35), Go with them to pick out family gifts for family and friends. Allow them to give some toys or things to needy children or families.

For Older Kids:
Consider being in the place of Mary or Joseph. How would you respond?
Make gifts and write cards for teachers, friends, etc.
Go caroling - check!
Volunteer for one of the many community Christmas projects - check! check!
